Elisa Gamal

Elisa Gamal took her first bellydance class in 1987 - and what an adventure it's been. She discovered her love for entertaining as a member of the legendary pacific northwest dance troupes Shahdaroba and Zaphara's Dancers. She went on to become a house dancer with MB Orchestra for 15 years, performed at Caspian Grill for nearly 20, did a couple international gigs, won some competitions along the way, and had a long and infamous run doing belly grams, during which time she danced at, among other nefarious venues, every bowling alley along the I5 corridor from Olympia to Bellingham. She stopped counting at 1000 shows (at not even ten years in) and she has Seen. Some. Things.

These days "Mama Gamal" is usually found supporting the dance community from behind the scenes, so this will be a rare opportunity to share, play and learn from her nearly four decades of experience.
