LOCATION

LOCATION

The retreat is held at Camp Delaney Environmental Learning Center within Sun Lakes State Park, about 10 miles south of Coulee City, WA. There are cabins with beds, tent spaces (bring your own tent), a commercial kitchen with a walk-in refrigerator, a freezer, and gender communal bathhouses with warm showers. The cost of the event is kept at a minimum because we clean up after ourselves... yes, that includes washing your own dishes. Workshops will be held inside the main building or outside on the grass (weather permitting) at the preference of the instructor. Workshops are designed for ALL levels of dancers. Emerald Sanctuary Retreat is a family-friendly event.

ENVIRONMENT
Camp Delaney is a dry, rocky high-desert environment. It can be very hot or pleasantly warm and cloudy. Wind is almost always guaranteed! Roads and walking paths are gravel. There is a lovely lawn outside the main hall with plenty of trees for shade. The camping meadow is rough grass. There are nearby lakes for swimming and trails for hiking.

The facility is remote. However, some private campgrounds and resorts with small stores and coffee service are nearby within a quick driving distance.

Please note: NO PETS, NO FIREARMS, and NO ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES are allowed at Camp Delaney.

WI-FI & CELL SERVICE
Camp Delaney does not have wi-fi. Cell phone service is limited, unpredictable, and coverage varies from carrier to carrier. Some people can get service on a hill or in certain areas of camp, but do not count on it.
